What Can I Do To Participate? A List for Individuals

1. Put Thank a Youth Worker Day (TAYWD) on your calendar for November 5.

3. Send a link to the TAYWD web page to your friends and colleagues.

What Can My Organization Do?

Spread the word and get others involved in appreciating youth workers:

1. Distribute orange ribbons to all supporters, including clients, participants, partners, employees,
etc. You can order ribbons at Awaremess Ribbon http://www.awarenessribbons.com/ribboncat.html

2. Host a TAYWD event (i.e. luncheon, reception, open house, breakfast, insert your best idea here!)

What Can My Community Do?

1. Ask local government officials (mayor, city council, county council) to proclaim TAYWD locally.
(A sample proclamation is available on the website).

2. Contact local youth-serving networks/agencies to promote TAYWD (Community, government, faith based organizations, etc.)
